Tonight I successfully connected once over an ad hoc connection to my pc and used rdesktop to control the pc. I restarted Windows on the PC and now can't get redsktop working again! I've rebooted the 770.

I think I need help knocking some sense into the 770 so it works on the ad hoc connection again.

The first time I connected to the ad hoc connection, the 770 did NOT say link local IP address. At least I think it didn't.

Now, it says link local IP address every time I connect to the ad hoc connection. I've tried going through the advanced connection settings and setting "router" to the PC's ip, and the primary DNS to the PC's IP and I entered a unique IP for the 770, but rdesktop returns the error "no route to host". Rdesktop also returns the same error when I set the ad doc connection to DHCP.

I've turned off the Windows firewall on the PC and that didn't help. ButI don't think the firewall is the problem because I think I'd get the error "host unreachable" instead of "no route to host."

I forgot to try to ping the PC. The PC is a car computer. I'll have to try that after I get up and get in the car.

How do I get rdesktop connecting again?

Thanks y'all!
