I was trying to setup the mmc so that I could boot from it and followed this guide http://maemo.org/community/wiki/howt...from_mmc_card/

Somewhere along the way I think I may have tried typing a shutdown command in xterm before the formatting process had finished without realizing it. The tablet no longer recognises the mmc card at all despite several reboots. I am getting the error "no memory card inserted" in the file manager or control panel/memory section.

I would like to know if its possible to salvage this as it is a brand new 2gb kingston mmc and was working previous to my hacking efforts. I do not have a card reader, and I have tried to format it using an old nokia 6630 smart phone. The phone reports that the card is corrupt and will not format it.

i have searched this forum but have not found any hard and fast answers to address my problem...

I need some help from someone who has experienced this...
