Hi all,
I want to be able to use a usb sound card to output to 5.1 surround sound. I have already purchased the card here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829126101
,due to many reviewers saying they got this working with linux(ubuntu and what not).
I already have usb control installed and the proper female to femal connector to get it hooked up and recognized.
After i plug it in usbcontrol spits out the ever present:
"USB Device Not supported" (does this with everything, including flash drives)
followed by:
"unable to connect, no file system available" (does not happen with flash drives, so i think this is the problem)
I am assuming that i need some sort of kernal installed that supports usb sound cards like people have done with other usb devices. I am however a linux n00b.
I am trying to set this up as my car stereo system if you are curious. I have all the equipment already as I currently have a computer insalled.
Any help is much appreciated! (I searched and if I missed anything like this I'm sorry)
