I actually traded my ipod touch for an n810 =) It was the first Apple device I ever purchased and I just didn't much care for it. It does do a lot of stuff very good though like web browsing for instance but in the end it just wasn't for me. I also found the battery life on the touch to be very poor as well, and apparently a lot of people are having the same problem with the device where only after a few months the battery life diminishes to only a couple hours. As a linux guy I didn't really like how restrictive the whole thing is though and I did have an n800 in the past and when I saw the opportunity to trade it for an n810, I just couldn't pass it up =) I'm glad I did it because I love my new n810 =)
