I'm trying out a Walgreens lunch kit:

They come in various colors... I picked mine up at the store and it is navy blue, grey, and black.
It only costs $3 and looks like it would be a pretty nice lunch tote if I decide I'm not going to carry my NIT stuff in it. The main pocket closes with either velcro or a zipper around the rim. The downside is that it doesn't have a shoulder strap. I could loop one through the handle if needed but that might look a little strange.
One of my requirements was to be able to hold sheets of paper that are folded in half. It does that nicely. I cut some manila file folders to be about 6.5 inches wide and they fit nicely.
I normally carry my n810 in its supplied slipcase in my pants pocket. So the lunchkit is for accessories. In its front pocket I have my ipod, headphones, and charge cables. In the main pocket I have a few cut-down file folders, a zippered mesh pen holder (with pen, usb key, checkbook, etc.), my iGo keyboard, and a tekkeon mp1550 battery pack. The main pocket is large enough that when I go on a trip I can also put in my smallish wifi access point and its wall wart, AC to USB charging adapter, 12V to USB charging adapter, bluetooth headset and charger, and possibly my digicam.
The lunch kit is about half the size of the brief bag I used to carry around. It also has fewer compartments which further reduces its bulk and weight.
