There's a version of FireFox that will run in Maemo that I've read about here on the forums. I haven't tried to run it in KDE yet but just about any app that will run in Maemo will run in KDE. There are threads in the KDE forum here on ITT that explain in detail how to set up shortcuts so that you don't have to use xterm every time to launch the app. For example this post here.

As for watching YouTube - I personally use the app called MyTube it works great in KDE.
