As an aside, which may help, this is the second n810 I have had in the last 6 weeks. The other exhibited the same browser issues too, but maybe not for identical sites ( I just can't remember now. I ended up returning it for exchange as, even though it was in a sealed box(and from LetsTalk)it was obviously not new.

I would really suspect there's something weird with the 802.11b router here at home, but every other PC and PDA I own (5 other machines) works perfectly on it.

BTW, before I do something stupid, can someone please explain something:
When changing the User Agent string, I fire up the browser, then create a bookmark with the modified user agent string in the "address field". But what is the .......click "Set Preference".......referring to??
Assuming I have the idea right, I guess i create another bookmark like the above, but with the original UA String in the address field to switch it back???
After you've set the preference, you make the bookmark so that next time it's easier to switch. To your last question, yes.

"But what is the .......click "Set Preference".......referring to??" That's self-evident once you're in about:config.

BTW, it takes Long time for the browser to respond on opening about:config and on setting preference. "Long" as in go have breakfast.
