Safari is a great browser, but I agree about the screen resolution. You really need to zoom in/out more than on the N800, but the zoom itself is way easier and smooth. When you browse a bigger web site you focus on part of it, then move next.
The screen is a killer. Under direct sunlight (at noon) there are only some glares here and there, but it is perfectly readable. Brightness at ~15-25% is more than enaugh for brioght and vivid screen.
