Are you sure that you have the IP address of your XP machine correct?
Are you using the IP address (WINS/NetBios addresses won't work)?
Could you try temporarily disabling your firewall?
Make sure you are connecting to VNC display 0. (The address should be <IP of server>:0)

I just saw your post right now,
I have disabled my firewall, and I'm using WIFI thru a linksys router.
Ip adress is a local ip(192.168.2.100)
I have no idea about the VNC display 0??
