I gave my first one to my brother in law, and it is currently in use on a nuclear sub (when he comes in to port, he can surf wifi on it, otherwise, he can watch movies, look at the kids' photos and videos on it).
I got another one on Friday, but it seems like it is a defective unit. I can't get any external cards to work, even ones that I used on my old unit. I called Nokia and they advised me to send it in for service.
However, I don't want to chance not getting it back on time for my trip overseas, so I bought another one today from CompUSA for $200 (after PayPal cash back of $20). I guess when I get my other unit back, I'll give it to my wife so we can use it like a video intercom from each of our workplaces.
Just posting this because as frustrating as my experience was with the new device this weekend, Nokia's tech support was great. Also, if your device doesn't seem to work as it should, it is possible that there is a problem with the unit. That was where it made sense for me to stop
posting
about the problem and call the manufacturer.
