Don't put too much effort into this. Adding support for loc files is most likely the easier solution. Also the current development version can handle entire directories. So you can put all your loc files there and they are loaded all at once.
This looks like such a promising app, but this problem is what's keeping me from geocaching nerdvana. If I download a pocket-query .gpx file and load it into gpxview, it finds 1, or 3, geo's out of the whole file (the two different files I've tried). Will you be adding support for multiple-cache .gpx files? That's something that maemo-mapper also doesn't support and it's a tremendous bummer. I could send a sample file if it would be of help.
