Just looking at Vista on the device makes me despondent, but then what else is a manufacturer to do? There really is nothing else at this moment. The only other option is XP and that reaches the official end of life next month. Let’s hope Mobile Linux comes through soon with something worthwhile.

I had always felt that Sharp’s flirtation with Linux on the Zaurus was a resounding success, the open source community transformed the operating system and mediocre software into something exceptional. But then Sharp pulled the plug.

It is hard to fathom sometimes why these huge organisations reach the decisions they do but they didn’t get to be so successful by being dumb so who am I to judge.
