@Capn Fish: Sorry, I've been busy and haven't looked at this much. I'll try and poke at it more in a bit. Also, try adding the "xmodmap my-xmodmap-file" to XFCE's autostart scripts under ~/.config/xfce4/

@alendit: This release has several "local" changes compared to the last release I made. Also, if you install some things from sid stuff will start breaking. Especially, don't let it install xorg-xserver or alsa-lib stuff.

Re: New Debian (beta3) for the N8x0 w/ XFCE
There are, at least for me a couple of things I'll have to find replacements for.

1. battery monitor
2. screen dimming/suspend scripts
3. good multi location wireless manager (knetworkmanager like)
4. replace epiphany with iceweasel (better UI and configuration IMHO)
5. A way to right-click.

On the n810 Some of the above may be easier to solve, but on an n800, or even *gasp* a 770 #5 can be mighty important. All this is just me ramblin' so take it as you will. Also, has anyone else noticed that inn Debian the keyboard doesn't ssttuutteerr?
1. kcbatt will work on the command line
2. If someone wanted to write those and share them here, I'd appreciate it!
3. I ran into issues with network manager and the limited wext support in the patched cx3110x used in Debian. wifi radar and wicd might be worth trying. I'm busy with work and other projects lately, so don't wait around for me to tell you what works, try it out!
4. Once the Debian guys get it compiled for armel it's just an apt-get away.
5. In gtk2 apps, just tap and hold. In Qt apps I have no idea.
