OK, finally got it up and running—lot easier to screw with these things when you're not working through vnc and ssh. Ended up using my dad's XP laptop (from work, of course ) since he was in town.

Works pretty well. Image quality is a little worse than I was expecting (more of a sub-par encoder issue than a bandwidth issue), but it's not too bad. The whole system seems pretty solid once you get it going, and there's not too much work involved there as long as you're using their recommended setup OS.

HAVA Player is a battery killer (well, duh CPU pegged and wifi screaming the whole time). I only got about 2 hours out of it before I hit the low-battery warnings.
