(I even tried using my 3G wireless Softbank as a modem via bluetooth and the same thing.) Funny thing is before I went to work I could load SOME sites, now I can't load anything.
If you're doing this entirely through a phone, your phone network may have blocks on their connections being used for modems.

It could be a phone network problem that you're encountering.

Have you tried using the tablet on an open wi-fi connection?

Do it! :-)

I'm going to run the battery down to 0
Don't do that!

Lithium batteries don't ever need to be run down like that. Just charge them as normal.

In fact running a lithium battery down too far may cause it to break irreparably.

But formatting the internal memory will wipe of some stuff (maps and so on) that are in the memory.
You can download the maps again for free, and the internal memory can be backed up onto the internal memory card after you've reformatted it.

Note that the internal memory card (2 gigabytes) is a separate thing to the internal memory (256 megabytes).
