It happens, though, that mpd works just fine; unless you have tried all options, it's unwise to make claims starting with "None" and not containing "that I know of"...
So.. if you are like me and thought that the N800 would be a great device to listening to audiobooks you will be disappointed. I still use my Palm Zire 31 for audiobooks.
You might try more of the options that are out there; I highly recommend mmpc/mpd, and think it might reduce your disappointment...
