you would have to pay

$400 for N810 (I am comparing apples with apples considering the GPS function and not with the N800)
plus
the 4 figure contract for a $0 phone (taking your argument here) to get the same 3G functionality.

as against a $200 iPhone and a 4 figure contract for service.

Now which one seems more attarctive price-performance wise ?

Lets face it, the price point of the new iPhone 2 has created a new barrier for all others to match up to (or break).
