Ok, I'll look how maemo-pan finds phones later,

For now:
This is my W810 phone configuration and the W810 shows up as a phone to the N800 and I can connect to the internet fine:
(This is gconf, the graphical editor is gconf-editor from extras)
(My Bluetooth mac address is blanked out)

/system/bluetooth/device/<my W810 mac address>:

trusted = true
dun_gsm = true
class = 16769540
dun_umts = true
icon = qgn_list_btno_phone_new
services = [telephony,object transfer,networking,00001200-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb,DUN,SPP,HFP-AG,00001112-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb,OPP,FTP,00001104-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb,00001116-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb,HID]
strong_pin_pairing = false
name =
dun_cdma = false

/system/osso/connectivity/BT:

visible = false
preferred = <My W810's MAC>
selected = [<My W810's MAC>]
recent = []
enabled = true
If you go into gconf and edit your phone entry, you may be able to get it to show up as phone. I've included all my entries for completeness but you may just be able to get away with changing your class from the pda to the phone one (the numbers in my gconf dump above)

I have to stress, this will not make the built in phone thing work with your phone (unless it uses DUN) but it should make it show up as a phone.

I'll look at maemo-pan later.
