I have the Cradlepoint PHS300 that I connect my 3g phone to, and stream wifi in my house. The PHS300 is battery powered and if your phone is fully charged, (the PHS300 also charges your phone while emitting wifi signal, good and bad) you can have wifi for about 2 hours per charge. The PHS300 is compact, about the size of the N810 but a little thicker, and very easy to use. I've been using mine for about a month and have been satisfied completley. The nice thing about this router is it turns a once individual use EVDO signal into a secure wifi signal that up to 10 different guests can be on at once.
