another thing that can;t be ignored since the Hava/N800 uses a remote connection even if it is local is what quality your routers on both ends are.

I used to use stock Linksys firmware on a WRT54G and had all sorts of grief with it losing network connectivity and responsiveness. I had no idea that the router could crash under heavy load although some could be due to the oldish cable modem.

I now use a DD-WRT flashed Buffalo and it works great.
