It askes for user@ip password (I have a user passwd installed for GPE sync to Evo), then lists the directories, but never copies squat.

All I am looking to do is be able to restore my system (including installed applications) should I hose it again (like a true backup). It takes forever to do when I have to re-download everything from the repositories.
Take your pick:
Got a 2G SD ($8.99 from buy.com a few days ago) and clone it every now and then. The cloned OS will have everything you have and do not have to re-dl apps. However, I am not sure how do you 'restore' or clone it back to your tablet. Fanoush, any suggestions? What a joke from bunanson

Buy Acronis, they can 'ghost' imaging your whole system and stored on PC or someplace else. And of course, they can mirror back to your tablet, I believe. They have a 30 days FREE trial, and I tried and got a mirror image to my PC. Very user friendly. I do not have guts to mirror back to my tablet though.

If you use Windows and want to make a backup of your partitions (a real backup, not like the included Nokia backup), I suggest Acronis True Image. (Thanks, dont, for the suggestion.) Version 11 works for this; Version 9 does not; I don't know about Version 10. You can even use it to make a copy of your SD card that has the cloned system.
