All I am looking to do is be able to restore my system (including installed applications) should I hose it again (like a true backup). It takes forever to do when I have to re-download everything from the repositories.
Do a search (with Google) on rsync here, I believe it involves setting up ssh etc. and I could not do it ON the N810, I had to go from my PC to the N810.

Note that there are a number of unix Ghost like clones which might work, the problem is how do you boot off something if your system is hosed.
