You can use the cable that comes with the tablet and it's VERY easy to do.
You do NOT need any knowledge of Linux or the tablet hardware or anything else.
However, you need to buy a very very very cheap female-female USB adaptor so that the USB accessory can be plugged into the tablet's cable. It's EXTREMELY cheap, just a few dollars, because it's basically just a bit of metal. Here's an example at Amazon.com:

After you've bought the adaptor, the rest is extremely easy.

Basically you can connect absolutely anything as long as it doesn't draw too much power from the tablet. However, not all of it will work because the tablet doesn't contain software support for all kinds of devices.
For example you can connect a USB mouse, but it won't do anything because so far no one has written any tablet software with mouse support (except for some experimental programs).
This software support may come in the future though, because there's nothing to stop people writing it.
