If such assumptions
are
a problem, it still might be able to keep a lock, supposing you don't have to turn it off during takeoff.
Oh, and airplanes are big aluminum tubes; I think a window seat will
definitely
be desirable for getting a lock in the air... probably enough signal gets in through the windows to
keep
a lock in any seat, but I'm obviously just speculating.
