I have encounted a problem where the GVM reports "Failed (Connection Lost)". And the HotSync log reports:
Code:
System synchronization failed
HotSync Error: Connection is lost  (6410)
HotSync operation complete 06/19/08 19:15:16
I solved this by looking in the log and identifying the last file being processed then using FileZ to view the details of the file and unmarking the "backup" attribute bit. Eventually all the files that were causing trouble were not marked to be backed up and the hotsync completed fine.

This is the error I see. I'll try what you say but it was true for any application that I've installed.
