NO, NO, NO, NO!! I asked for the bootmenu.conf, or info as to what was in it. You decided I was asking you to do "work "

Did I tell you to RTFM??
You told me to use the TEMPLATE that is in Fanoush's package and to guess what the correct parameters were to create the same bootmenu.conf you already have. So, yes, I would need to RTFM to get the info. Whay should I read the manual? I already used your DEB because I DON'T WANT to RTM.. do you get that part? You created a way for brainless idiots like myself to dual boot, but then effectively said, that we were on our own if we wanted to upgrade to Diablo but keep Chinook on the SD. GREAT support there ;-)

The reason you had to go through the pain is because you wanted the deb to do something it is not intended to do.
NO! I wanted to restore the BOOTMENU. Your package created that menu, so it was reasonable to ask you for help. Apparently, this is beyond you?

My deb is made for cloning, not just installing bootmenu. Fanoush's package is for intalling bootmenu
Your pachage CONTAINS Fanoush's package, but you have MODIFIED his bootmenu config examples. How many times does it need to be stated, I don't mind using Fanoush's package, but without knowing what was in the bootmenu.conf, it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to quickly get access to my data?

""bootmenu.conf" - which is NOT in Fanoush's package"

Yes it actually is "bootmenu.conf.n8x0.example" and bootmenu.conf.n770.example
Oh, ffs, how dim are you being now? They are not the same as your bootmenu.conf. I don't *want* to learn how Fanoush's stuff works, it's not a peice of information I need or want. I will use it once (now) because from now on I will not need to reflash my IT. I'll wait till Diablo is stable (asnd all the repos are working) and reinstall it to SD. But this will be in a few months time. In the meantime, your solution was to lose all my data. Great, THANKS for that.

I could make a deb to do what you are asking. I however have lots of stuff on my plate with what "I" actually want to do. Then there is that pesky job, and those 4 kids and a wife to contend with.

am I just being a dick again? It doesnt feel like it, but I am a bad judge
Dude, all I wanted was a little help. I didn't want to be told to go off and work it out for myself. You've already done the hard part for me ;-) All I wanted was enough info to install the bootmenu and have it working *exactly* as before as quickly as possible. All you needed to do was provide the bootmenu.conf and say "just reflash using Fanoush's package and this file", but you made it a LOT harder on both of us by being obtuse. In all, it took me less than 30 mins once I took it upon myself to open up your DEB file and find the bootmenu.conf. (opening a DEB in Windows was not a fun task, thankfuly 7zip does deb)

I have 3 kids, a wife a dog and a cat.. Do I win?

No worries, all sorted and it won't happen again to me because I know how to fix it now ;-)

I might sound like I'm ranting, but I don't mean to belittle your work. It's great, I love what it does, you are appreciated. A little bit of after flash support wouldn't go awry though!!
