Well, merging MicroB with trunk isn't a "do-it-in-a-day" proposition, it takes time and it takes testing. In a big project like Maemo, major changes to the code are frozen a few months in advance of release to allow for testing and bug fixing, and there simply wasn't a usable Gecko release to merge with before the freeze date.

Simple timing, really.

Well, if you want to go and compile the MicroB svn, all the cool new development for Fremantle will be taking place there (well, for the engine, anyway).
