I am having the missing text issue as well. I received my tablet a day or so after Diablo was released so the first thing I did was upgrade the device. Somewhere along the line I did and "apt-get -f install" and have added "chinook" to my repositories. Canola2 has had missing text ever since the first install.

Before adding Canola2 I had installed HP42, abiword, gnumeric and a couple other apps. Really haven't installed too much on it. Any ideas as to what package update has screwed my ability to see text in Canola? Looks like a great app and I'd love to get it working.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw the thread around this. I'm sure you guys are working hard to get a version running for Diablo. I guess I'll just have to wait to play with this software.
