Odd, I went to Miami last summer and used MaemoMapper to go there and did not need over 700 MB to fit the maps (that was before MM2 though). What I do is set MM to download a specific number of tiles along the route at a medium view. At the end of the route (or places I intend to stay, I pull up the closer view
