If you have a phone you can tether with, you should be good. What I did on my trip was wherever I stopped overnight I just got on the net and downloaded the maps for where I was. in MM you can map a route starting from your current GPS location, so that can be a help say if you're in a new town, have no clue what address you are in and need directions to somewhere specific.
