Ok I will check that out thanks
I found that asciidoc just recreation of the notes app with a few additions.
You should try the new abiword it doesn't crash cronicly like previous versions.
I recomend upgrading to Diablo first to save you self future problems. After you have upgraded, enable the Maemo extras catalogue then create the Maemo Extras-devel catalogue
Title Maemo Extras-devel
Web Address
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distibution chinook ("diablo") may work but ive never tried it)
Components free non-free
If you recieve a measage when you try to install abiword first close the application manager and reopen it, then bring up the application catalogue and delete the "Maemo Extras-devel" and disable the "Maemo Extras" tap close and close the application manager. Reopen the the application manager again and enable "Maemo Extras" close the application catalogue and let it refresh the catalogue finally open the application catalogue and recreate the the "Maemo Extras-devel" repository.
this will take longer to read than to do it for real.
It is definately woth it. There are a few bugs that need fixing the sylus keyboard doesn't launch when you tap the document area to start editing the easiest way to get around this is to adjust the virtual keyboard before you start editing. Here is a simple run through of the operation:
Open the notes application and tap the document area when the stylus keyboard pops up tap the options box on the lower left of the keyboard then tap tools then settings finaly uncheck launch finger keyboard with square thing. Then when you open abiword click the center of the dpad and the stylus keyboard will launch.
There is a lot of effert going in to fixing any problems in it.
