Incoming seems to be fine. Outgoing is the problem. Verizon says the server should be outgoing.verizon.net
Try to see if those exact outgoing settings work on a Macintosh e-mail client. If it works on your computer then something is going wrong on the tablet, but if it doesn't work on the computer either, then the setting is probably wrong.

If the fault is on the tablet, try clicking on the "advanced" button before you finish inputting the e-mail settings manually, there may be some additional settings you have to do.

Another thing to try is to enter your full e-mail address when it asks for a username.
