Older firewire iPods work. This means ones before the first iPod mini. They run out of juice fast, but they work. They new ones ask for (lots of) power, the old ones did not...

Edit: wikipedia has a good line up. On the iPod article, everything that says "Firewire (USB for syncing only)" or "Firewire or USB" will work, aka 3rd and 4th gen.

Ipod mini will not work (mine did not), because its really USB with firewire hacked on.


Edit 2: Ipod shuffle also works. My dad has one of those clip ones (new one), and it worked.

Interesting side note: Maybe, just maybe the Nano will work. I don't know though. This is because it uses flash memory and not a hard drive, which means lower power... (prk60091 says no though)
