OK, I'm gonna rip a couple shots from the manual here, but yes, it's got USB (qty. 1 on the unit, +4 on the port replicator). No, I don't think there's room for all the internal USB hacks people do on the Eee (though electrically, there's at least one more USB, on the port replicator connector), and no, I don't want a dongle hanging out the side of it all the time; I'd definitely hope CF are available.
(One other point of concern, were I rich enough to buy this, would be the SD slot; my current laptop leaves SDs sticking half-way out, probably to support RS-MMC, but that makes it implausible to keep an SD in it all the time. Then again, I've got such a big HD that another 16 GB of always-on storage space is not all that helpful. This probably doesn't, so I hope it's not like that.)
