indeed! If you have Compiz at hand, try the water effect. You can set it in such way that if you click somewhere you get a water/ripple effect. Not very useful normally? Sure however this reminds me of the yellow round which appears in this video. Either one of these (or themeable), is very useful on a touchscreen, because you get feedback from the screen where the device figured you clicked/touched.
