Did you try the manual commands that are typically needed to enable NAT?
I know when I was setting up a Linux NAT for the first time, that little echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward switch took me about two weeks of banging my head on the keyboard to find ... I think I still have the marks years later :]

... and of course the iptables command to do the actual NATing.
