OK, linuxrc is same. Either redownload updated initfs_flasher.tgz (373818 bytes) or go to your previous copy into initfs_flasher/ and run

Code:
ln -s initfs.2008-24.tgz initfs.2008-29.tgz
ln -s dropbear.osso-RX-34.2007-10.tgz dropbear.2008-29.tgz
ln -s utelnetd.osso-RX-34.2007-10.tgz utelnetd.2008-29.tgz
Then it will recognize newer initfs.

Also it might be wise to backup current bootmenu.conf before accepting system update.
Code:
cp /mnt/initfs/bootmenu.conf /media/mmc2/
then you just copy it to initfs_flasher folder and run initfs_flash and you are back to business, Chinook from card still boots fine.

EDIT: There was old bug in initfs flasher. If you have previously created initfs.bootmenu.jffs2 image and flasher finds unknows initfs version it skips creation of new image but then happily offers you to flash previous (old) one. You should decline that offer ;-) This is now fixed by renaming old images. thanks tolou, post #83
