Not really a direct competitor to the N-series, but could give Asus a run for its money. Apparently, the E4200 has an instant-on mode that boots an embedded Linux in 2 seconds (similar to Splashtop), but instead of running on the main CPU it runs on an embedded ARM-based processor, which gives you "all day" battery life.

The weight is right at 1 KG (2.2 pounds), and has a 12-inch screen. I haven't found the other physical dimensions yet.
