Exactly.
That issue can be solved by a use of twin-WiFi routers, running shell scripts.
One part does scanning, another standard routing.
Nothing special as long as double sim card cell phones are already on a market.
Single wifi router can be acquired at about $100,
so for tests not great problem to use 4-6 wifi routers.
What is much more complicated is routing algorithm for wifi mesh.
