I think you won't even have to install Python yourself anymore. It should suffice if you use your tablet's browser to go to my blog post about the update, then click the "mclock-051-1_all" link.
This will open a window on your tablet asking you what to do with this download - select the "Open" button. This will download the installation package and open the Application Manager, which will automatically start the install and download all needed "dependencies" (other software packages needed, such as Python) if they aren't yet installed.
