If it's the same one that I picked up a while ago, it definately does NOT work. Even with the additional kernel modules loaded the thing just takes a flying leap and is not even close to being recognized, let alone working properly. See if you can find another "Band named" one (NGear is basically cheapie knockoff product), and then do a quick bit of searching to check for power requirements and chipset. The USB LAN package includes all of the available kernel modules, so chipsets aren't usually the problem so much as power is (most USB network adapters require more power than the tablet can put out). If you're in a last-ditch kind of hurry just grab yourself a powered USB hub and a brand-name USB NIC... again do the checking on the particular NIC first, but it's usually the power that's the big kicker. The USB100M is nice because it just works and doesn't require too much power.
(Not sure where you're located or travelling to, but you can usually find them online with some speedy.. but probably a bit costly... delivery options. i.e....
http://www.electronicproductonline.c...oducts_id=1800
and I keep them in stock for all us tablet-inclined folks ;o) )
Thanks,
-Rob
