Bundyo, please try compiling the latest version of Midori. The v.19 in the Debian repos is very fast (faster on many sites than MicroB) and it seems much more stable than mentioned in comments above (Google Reader works well, ITT forums and Google Maps are quite fast), and I'd like to see if the most recent version (v.21) fixes the problems with Google Mail that I'm having (very slow rendering, Midori closes when trying to open a specific mail)...

If you use Stskeeps' Deblet Flash player plugin hack, you can even use Flash in Midori, and Youtube seems as fast as in MicroB.
