While the tablets are certainly not as popular around here as say, an Ipod, I think calling them less than a rare sight in Toronto is a bit of lunacy; I can tell you right now the reason that TigerDirect.ca ran out of N800's back in the late spring was I showed mine to a buddy who worked at Cogeco down in Burlington, and that day 8 of his co-workers ordered them as well. Now they're certainly not mainstream yet, but the fact that you can walk into any tiger direct store in the area and they've usually got an N810 on display for you to play around with says a lot compared to the old 770 days. The move to OS 2008 along with the pricing phases for the tablets certainly had a large impact on acceptance levels for them around here... And with Tiger putting the N810s out at $299 Cdn it looks like another wave of adoptions might be starting up soon.

(And for the record, there might not be a brick and mortar store in the GTA selling tablet specific equipment... but if my online store is located in the GTA and specializes in unique tablet products such as OTG adapters, speaky-mikey adapters, etc doesn't that count?? ;-) )
