If I understand correctly, you moved them, and then it didn't work? Just changing the gconf entries to point at the new location instead of deleting them probably would have gotten it. From here, though, you can just recreate the repos. Then, with MM closed, copy the old databases over the new ones. (Or recreating them pointing at the old databases should work, but not as quick for me.)
