I don't know if you noticed my first post in this thread.
Since I had already used myself as an example I chose the last poster before my comment because it was easy to cut and paste the name.

And yes, if I was spamming, ban me.

But if I appealed to Reggie and he agreed, then whomever posted to ban me should suffer "some potential repercussions" such as an X day ban. Or in your case maybe an X hour ban.

/edit - maybe make another layer of member, say over 500 posts ,- with "license to ban", I'm just trying to suggest staying away from the complexity of full moderator duties.
