seems my problem is related to wpa. i've got two access points at home, one runs wep the other wpa. when i connect to the wep one all is fine, the connection doesn't drop. when i connect to the wpa one, it drops after only a few minutes.

the wep ap is a linksys wrt54g
the wpa is a dlink

i'll try changing the dlink to wep to see if it's a wpa/wep issue or a linksys/dlink issue.
