I've noticed that Skype seems to be somewhat drainful. I don't use it that much, and have never gotten into the whole timing 21 different configurations for battery drain (I'm using it whenever I'm awake, and can't be bothered to set up a test before I go to sleep.), so I can't really say, but I think it may be an issue.

I think any discussion of using the N8x0 as a phone (the thrust of jzenkovich's post) should concentrate on more serious VOIP clients, but any problems with one particular version of one particular client (especially one with 0 interoperability by design) are hardly the way to invalidate it.
