Original problem:

I seem to have a major issue with this upgrade on my N800:

Despite the fact that I have ~1GB space left on both internal and external memory cards, I keep on getting an error during the update that there is not enough space left for installing the update. The update was said to be ~36MB in the update dialog.

All prior updates have been successful without any problems.

Anybody else having similar issue?


Update: I found a solution

The error was about "not enough memory in target location" and thus really did not seem to be about device memory (RAM). I solved the problem by deleting a number of applications was not using too much and after that the update succeeded without any problems.
