After my first (and I hope last!) reboot cycle a few months back, I've been trying to play it extra safe with system wide packages, avoided the RTCom beta, and resisted toying with apt-get.

I gave Pidgin a shot but was really missing the way RTCom integrated with the rest of the N810. Whilst Pidgin was still installed, and my repository list as prior the reflash (including RTCom and Collabora) I seemed to be able to to restore IM connectivity for MSN, Yahoo, along with Google Talk and SIP and of course XMPP / Jabber.

I did also have ICQ working pre-flash (with RTCom Beta package) by replacing the libpurple file, kindly provided earlier in this thread, but attempts since have failed.

I have since uninstalled Pidgin.

Anyhow, these are relevant apps I currently have installed:
  • account-plugin-haze - 0.1-1 (collabora)
  • osso-accounts-plugin-idle - 0.2-1.4 (nokia)
  • osso-acocounts-plugin-salut - 0.2-1.1 (nokia)
  • telepathy-haze - 0.1.4-0collabora1 (collabora)
  • telepathy-salut - 0.2.0-1 (Debian Telepathy)

Interestingly, RTCom is currently showing as "Not installable" missing packages "telepathy-haze (>=0.2.0-1collabora1).

My current repository list:

Code:
Nokia-N810-23-14:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ diablo free non-free
deb http://packages.collabora.co.uk/maemo chinook haze salut idle
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ chinook free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ chinook free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/rtcomm chinook free
deb http://packages.gizmoproject.com/chinook chinook user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/ diablo user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/non-certified/ diablo user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/updates/diablo-2/ ./
Nokia-N810-23-14:~#
Hope this helps anyone trying to install without beta package.

Let me know if you'd like to check any other files etc.
