I've used qole's Easy Debian to install UFRaw and RawStudio. They both work but are fairly slow. While on vacation I took the card out of my camera, copied over a raw file, made some adjustments, resized, saved to a png and used it for my desktop image just to prove I could!

I didn't have his latest version (I do now) which is definitely faster. I don't know of any Maemo software that can view raw files.
